SO WHERE IS CAMPOBELLO?

Some say Campobello is "just the other side of the end of the line", and that's fairly accurate. You definitely have to want to come here.

Drive out the Maine coast as far as you can go (the last 100 miles or so from the Ellsworth/Acadia area are just about due east) and you come to the town of Lubec (pronounced loo-BECK), the easternmost town in the continental United States. From there, simply drive across the FDR International Bridge — leaving the Eastern time zone for the Atlantic, and the USA for Canada — onto Campobello Island, New Brunswick.

Campobello is one of the three Fundy Isles (along with Deer Island and Grand Manan) located in the lower Bay of Fundy... home to the highest tides in the world.

It's a relatively small island (9 miles long by 3 miles wide) with a year-round population of about 850 residents.
Population in the summer grows to about 1400.

Our home is at the northern tip of the island, about 1/4 mile from Head Harbour Lighthouse.
